Antarctica

 WALT: make comparisons.

We have been learning about Antarctica and how its different school camps. This is my writing comparing both camps.

In Antarctica there is ice all over the grounds but at other camps like Living

springs or Authors pass they don't have ice on the grounds they have grass

and concrete. Also the other camps are not as cold as Antarctica.

Both of the camps have rosters on who's doing the dishes and who's helping with

the food. In Antarctica they have to separate the poo from the pee.

They use a bucket for poo and a bottle for pee then they get sent off to Scot

base but eventually end up in New Zealand.

On my slide show I read a article called Listening eyes, speaking hands.
It was about the New Zealand’s First School for the Deaf.
I had to find these words in the article.

For reading we have been learning about the different languages of New Zealand.
This is my visual Mihi.

Maths strategy

For maths we have been learning our times tables, the strategy we are using is rope learning.
I like using this strategy because it helps me remember what I learnt.
I also like this strategy because I learnt my 4 times table by using it.
