My symmetrical dragon

 WALT: Create symmetrical art.

In maths we have been learning about geometry particularly symmetry.

Today we got to make some art that had to be symmetrical.

we all got 2 pieces of paper I choose red and orange then we folded one of our papers and drew a symmetrical shape, animal, or logo.

I chose toothless from how to train your dragon.

Then we cut our drawing in half and cut it out being very careful then we stuck the drawing on to a different coloured piece of paper. 

My symmetrical shape

 WALT: make a sculpture that is symmetrical.

this is the symmetrical shape i made using coloured strips of paper.

Miss Pownall stapled the strips in the middle and let us cut and fold the sides.

Whatever we did on one side we had to do the exact same on the other.

Maths

 WALT: Practice our maths knowledge.

This is one of the maths problems i had to solve.

I worked out the answer by counting on from 44 to 47 which has three number in between then I counted on from 50 which was 53 then i did 3 more than 56 which is 59 the last on was 62

Maths strategy

For maths we have been learning our times tables, the strategy we are using is rope learning.

I like using this strategy because it helps me remember what I learnt.

I also like this strategy because I learnt my 4 times table by using it.

In room 2 we have been studying statistics.My favourite graph is a bar graph because its fun to make and i understand it really well.

My Problem Solving Reflection

WALT: work with others to solve problems in a respectful way.
I had trouble focusing because we kept talking and screaming but after a bit we got on to the question.Maybe next time i could work with other people that makes it easier.

Statistics

Statistics is finding infomation and gathering in into a bargraph, pictograph and tally chart in my class i learned to make bargraph And sharing your information.
A pictograph is when you write your options down then ask people want there favourite one is out of your options every time someone votes on your work you get to draw the option they picked next to the option that you write on the sides and the one that gets the most votes is the most popular.
I enjoyed learning about statistics because we now know what people like the most.
I found drawing the pictures challenging because it was hard to draw the shops.
